The presentation presents the status of the Semantic Web from W3C's
perspective, referring to the finished and active works in terms of W3C
groups, view of available tools, and ideas floating around for possible
future work. References and examples of real Semantic Web applications
will also show the widening adoption of the technology by the industrial community
About the Speaker
Ivan Herman is the Semantic Web Activity Lead at W3C.
He is a member of IW3C2 (the committee coordinating the yearly WWW conference series), serving as a liaison for W3C.
He regularly participates in W3C's outreach activities, which involves, among other things, making presentations and giving tutorials
